Santa Ana, CA- (August 17, 2009) -- Santa Ana Business Bank has elected Anthony W. "Tony" Thompson (chairman and chief executive officer of Thompson National Properties) to the Bank's board of directors. Thompson, a highly respected, veteran real estate executive and industry pioneer, will serve on the 11-member Bank board.

Thompson is chairman and chief executive officer of Thompson National Properties, which specializes in providing value-added real estate investment opportunities and asset management to high net worth domestic, foreign and institutional investors. Early in his career, Thompson founded Triple Net Properties, serving as chairman and chief executive officer. He later was elected chairman of the board of NNN Realty Advisors, Inc., Triple Net Properties' affiliated holding company. Under Thompson's leadership, the enterprise raised nearly $3 billion in equity investments, including securitized 1031 tenant-in-common exchange programs, an industry Thompson pioneered. NNN Realty Advisors later completed a reverse merger with Grubb & Ellis Company, where he remains its second largest stockholder. Thompson then launched Thompson National Properties, which currently manages 89 properties, totaling approximately 13.7 million square feet.
