IRVINE, Calif., (July 15, 2009) - Thompson National Properties, LLC, announced today that Jennifer Purpero joined the company as Associate General Counsel.
Ms. Purpero is involved in all aspects of the company's legal activities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and product development, as well as directing its legal firms; however, her main focus is on regulatory matters and guidelines related to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
"We conducted a comprehensive three-month search for an Associate GC and Jennifer exceeded all of our criteria," said Anthony W. "Tony" Thompson, Thompson National Properties' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Previously, Ms. Purpero served as an Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in Washington D.C., focusing on securities and corporate matters. Prior to this, Ms. Purpero worked at KPMG LLP, providing auditing and consulting services to clients. Ms. Purpero is a member of the California State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the American Bar Association, and she is also a Certified Public Accountant. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Accounting, B.B.A. degree in International Business, and a B.A. degree in German Studies. Ms. Purpero graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Pepperdine University School of Law.
