In this position, Betts is responsible for acquisitions and funding equity for Thompson National Properties’ Middle East Fund.

Previously, Betts was senior vice president, Institutional Investment Group, at Grubb & Ellis Company where he headed the leading investment team in the Southwest and the top producing team nationwide for 2007. For the past 10 years Betts has been one of the top producers for Grubb & Ellis Company. Betts focused on the disposition of investment portfolios for an impressive array of clients, including financial institutions, pension funds, real estate investment trusts and private investors. Betts has been involved in more than $5 billion in real estate transactions during his 20-year commercial real estate career. Betts earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance with a concentration in commercial real estate from Texas A&M University. Additionally, Betts earned the highly recognized CCIM designation through the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, an affiliate of the National Associate of Realtors.
